17. Roman Square Glass Bottle


C. 1st - 3rd Century A.D.

A scarce translucent pale blue Roman square glass bottle. Circa 1st - 3rd Century AD.

Short cylindrical neck, rounded shoulders, flat vertical sides, slightly concave bottom, broad strap handle. Missing rim but otherwise completely intact. Iridescent weathering.


Condition: Missing its rim but otherwise completely intact (no cracks). Iridescent weathering.

Dimensions: 12cm x 8cm approx.
