My interest in the past began as a child when visiting historic houses and castles in England and Wales. I began buying antiques about 30 years ago and then one day I had the opportunity to handle some ancient pottery. I've never looked back.
My great passion is the Roman world and in particular Roman Britain, an area in which I have developed considerable expertise. I studied archaeology at university and this led to an interest in small finds, particularly ceramics, glass and utilitarian domestic items.
I am foremost a collector, curator and historian, not a dealer. I love to share my interest and knowledge with others. I enjoy giving talks on various aspects of Roman life in Britain to adults and children. I have been a regular participant at historical events, where I get the opportunity to share my knowledge and allow the public to view and handle ancient objects.
I buy predominately at auction, usually from old collections established during the height of antiquity collecting in the Victorian and Edwardian periods. From time to time I sell items on eBay. You can find me by clicking HERE.
